KTM revealed new naked bikes 890 Duke R and Superduke 1290 R at ECIMA show 2019. Earlier 2019 KTM launched globally Duke 790 and this year 890 Duke R gonna launch in replacement of Duke 790. Due to countrywide lockdown, the launching dates are dealing by the day. KTM planning to launch 890 Duke R by next month in the US first and the price at $11,699 ( INR 11 lakh ).
And later hopefully get Duke 890 R to India in 2021 January or mid-2021. The new Duke 890 R upgraded lot of improvements in power and torque figures. A couple of weeks back KTM revealed a video presentation of Duke 890 R with tag line super scalpel streetfighter in their social media. One of the great things on 890 Duke R is the suspension on front 43mm WP APEX fork and WP APEX shock absorber at the rear are fully adjustable.
Well known that Duke 790 doesn’t get adjustable suspension on the front. But the design and looks were the same as Duke 790. Also gets Brembo Stylema four-piston caliper brake on the front with Brembo master cylinder. And a larger 320mm dual-disc on the front, well the 790 dukes got only 300mm disc. The parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine exhibits maximum power of 121 HP @ 9250 rpm and 99 Nm peak torque at 7750 rpm.
There are four different riding modes available rain, street, sports, and track. It will be a good competitor to 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS.
